Angelo & Tweaky

Our Inspiration!

Angelo and Tweaky are the true founders of Chi-wa-wa Ga-ga, for without them the shop would not exist. They are short-haired half Apple Head/half Deer Chihuahua, brothers from two different litters.

Tweaky, the younger of the pair, will be 7 years old in November, 2002. His hobbies are doing nasty things with bathroom slippers and socks. He loves to help with cleaning the dishes. Just put dirty plates or bowls on the floor, and bingo: Clean as a whistle!

Tweaky also enjoys gardening: he is very good at watering small tree stumps. He loves to be held and cuddled. Frankly, he is a bit whiny if you leave him alone.

Tiny lil’ Tweaky is often at the shop to greet customers. He especially enjoys modeling, and helping other pups to try on the clothing.

Angelo is an extraordinary specimen. People often mistake him for a Doberman, due to his classic two-tone brown/tan dobie coloring. He is of course, one of the best dressed dogs in town. The latest favorites are a camouflage military jacket for day, and faux fur leopard bolero jacket with gold lame angel wings sprouting from the back for evening. The neighbors go wild!

His favorite hobby is hanging out in Angel’s purse, wherever they may go. He is amazingly quiet and well behaved and goes everywhere with Angel including to movies, restaurants, the gym, and to night clubs. He enjoys riding in her bike bag when she is on her bicycle, and he even travels on airplanes and stays in hotels!

When left undisturbed he will sit quietly on his mom’s lap or in her handbag for literally hours. If persons unknown come up and try to touch either of them, they will find that he is quite protective. He does growl and will snap if his zone of personal space is breached, like many of his kind.

He is so well trained that he walks through the French Quarter without a leash! He stops at all the street corners and waits for permission to cross!

Here is Angel with her new French Bulldog, Mack. He can often be found hanging out in Chi-wa-wa Ga-ga, and he is VERY friendly. He LOVES to be petted by EVERYONE. Come in and meet him!

This is Chico, he is the father of both Angelo and Tweaky.
